High on the agenda were socio-economic development and the state budget this year and next year, the finance-state budget plan for three years until 2025, and the plan to adjust 2023 salaries, pensions, social insurance allowances and preferential allowances for people with meritorious service.

The Committee agreed on the need to roll out a national master plan for 2021-2023 with a vision to 2050, considering it a very important political task under which the planning work should focus on the formation of a national infrastructure framework and economic corridors along the North-South and East-West axes.

The Committee said the blueprint for building and perfecting a socialist rule-of-law state in Vietnam in the new period was prepared democratically.

The Committee applauded the outcomes of the 15-year implementation of the resolution reforming the Party’s leadership, issued at the 10th Party Central Committee’s fifth session.

The Committee gave opinions on the candidates the Politburo will present to the National Assembly for election to the office of State Auditor General, Minister of Health, and Minister of Transport at the year-end National Assembly session.

The Committee appealed to the Party, the people, and the army to strengthen solidarity and unity to surmount difficulties and challenges in order to fulfill the targets for 2022 and beyond.
