Party Central Committee discusses restructuring of political system

(VOVWORLD) - The Party Central Committee met in Hanoi on Monday to discuss the restructuring of the political system to make it more efficient, and the plan to resume the nuclear power project in Ninh Thuan province.

In his opening address, Party leader To Lam said the restructuring is important because it directly impacts long-term national development.
“Cadres, Party members, and former Party and State leaders all strongly support the restructuring of the political system and hope it will soon be implemented to create a revolutionary breakthrough in organizational structure that will meet national development requirements,” said Party leader Lam.
Mr. Lam said resuming the nuclear power project is needed to take another step forward in national energy infrastructure development to spur socio-economic growth and deliver on the national development goals for the 2030-2045 period. Vietnam's GDP growth, he said, must reach double digits and be sustainable.
