Party chief receives chairman of Japan Bank for International Cooperation
(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary To Lam received Maeda Tadashi, Chairman of the Board for the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

At their meeting on Wednesday in Hanoi, General Secretary Lam said Vietnam treasures relations with Japan, adding that what the Japanese Government and JBIC are concerned about are also breakthrough priorities for Vietnam, including transportation infrastructure, energy, and digital technology.
The Party leader proposed that Japan and JBIC continue to support Vietnam's development and pay attention to promoting infrastructure connections between Southeast Asian countries and the Mekong Subregion, in terms of transportation infrastructure, energy, and big data.
For his part, Tadashi said the Japanese Government, including the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, considers Vietnam an important partner in the region and is ready to cooperate with Vietnam for the development of bilateral relations.
