(VOVworld) - The Vietnam Embassy in Algeria organized a meeting to mark the 86th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on Wednesday.

Ambassador Vu The Hiep said that in eight decades under CPV leadership, Vietnam has gradually overcome poverty and lack of development to raise its status internationally. Hiep summarized the 12th National Party Congress, at which Nguyen Phu Trong was re-elected General Secretary. 

At a ceremony held the same day by the Vietnamese embassy in Egypt, ambassador Do Hoang Long hailed the success of the 12^th National Party Congress, which will promote Vietnam’s development. The ambassador called on the embassy staff and Vietnamese agencies there to do their best to develop the Vietnamese community and promotes Vietnam-Egypt relations.

Meetings and celebrations also took place in Germany. Ambassador Dao Xuan Hung reviewed the results of the 12^th National Party Congress, saying the Congress’s resolutions were approved with high consensus and were highly praised by observers around the world.

To mark this occasion, the staff of the Vietnamese embassy in Moscow and the Vietnamese community in Russia offered incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial and laid a wreath at Ho Chi Minh Square and Le Duan Square.
