(VOVworld) - Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong chaired the 8th session of the Central Steering Committee on Corruption Prevention on Monday.

The committee’s report reviewed achievements made since the previous session and praised better cooperation between relevant agencies in corruption prevention and settling of complicated cases.
Addressing the closing session, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong appreciated progress in institutional reform and law making. He asked relevant agencies to promote cooperative mechanisms, law enforcement, and communications on laws and regulations.
Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong said: “We will hold a year-end conference to review what have been achieved in anti-corruption over the past 3 years to promote both central and provincial corruption prevention. The Steering Committee has sent delegates to work with ministries and provinces vulnerable to corruption.”
The Party leader agreed on future court trial of major corruption cases and praised the role by media in law and policy communications.
