(VOVWORLD) -The Party and State of Vietnam will create all favorable conditions for businesses of Vietnam and Bulgaria to work together to support the economic development of each country, Party General Secretary To Lam spoke to more than 100 businesses from both countries in Sofia on Thursday.

The Party leader addressed the Vietnam-Bulgaria Business Forum jointly held by the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance, the Vietnamese Embassy in Bulgaria, and the Ministry of Innovation and Growth of Bulgaria.
Economic and trade cooperation will be an important pillar to create value and meet the economic development process in each country, General Secretary Lam said, adding that Vietnam wishes to cooperate with Bulgarian enterprises in the long term in science, technology and innovation. Vietnam also encourages foreign enterprises and the Bulgarian business community in particular to cooperate in training high-quality human resources to serve Vietnam’s economic development, he said.
In his opening speech at the Forum, President of the host country Rumen Radev said the decision to establish the Bulgaria-Vietnam Strategic Partnership will be a solid foundation for the economic relations between the two countries to develop sustainably in the near future.
President Radev expressed his impression of the achievements that Vietnam has made in its national renewal, construction and development, saying Vietnam has maintained stability and strong development, becoming a bright spot in growth in the region and the world.
The Bulgarian President said he wishes to welcome many Vietnamese students to study in Bulgaria and promote the traditional cooperation in education, training and labor. He suggested that Bulgarian businesses cooperate with Vietnamese businesses in areas such as science and technology, clean agriculture, pharmaceuticals, education, renewable energy and European logistics.
Party General Secretary To Lam and President Rumen Radev witnessed the signing ceremony of multiple cooperation agreements between Vietnam and Bulgaria in finance, education, AI, machine learning, computer science, space technology, IT, and digital transformation.
