Mr. Lam suggested that Vietnam and Brunei ramp up climate change response, maritime cooperation, and illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing prevention.
The Sultan praised the Comprehensive Partnership, called Vietnam an important trade partner, and expressed his desire to boost cooperation in agriculture, the Halal industry, the oil and gas sector, people-to-people exchanges, and scholarship and training programs.
The two leaders agreed to enhance political trust; promote and facilitate trade and investment activities; boost connectivity; and unlock cooperation potential in agriculture, fisheries, Halal, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
They promised continued mutual support at multilateral forums like ASEAN and the UN.
