Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has praised the role of business community in national industrialization and modernization. At a working session with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on Saturday, Mr. Trong said Vietnamese business people are different from foreign entrepreneurs as Vietnam is pursuing a socialist-oriented market economy. He urged domestic business circle to combine the tasks of economic growth and social fairness: “Vietnamese business people are those who should know how do good business and obtain capital and production site. But above all, they should be patriotic and selfless”.

Party leader Trong stressed business people should compete fairly, seek profits but care for community’s interests: “We will do our best to build Vietnam into an industrialized and modern country. To do so, we need a matching army of business people”.

Mr. Trong expressed his belief that Vietnamese business circle will develop despite current difficulties in foreign markets and that they will contribute to national economic development.
