(VOVworld) – Vietnam always attaches importance to and creates favorable conditions to consolidate and develop time-honored relations of good neighborliness, traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia, considering them valuable assets of both countries. Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong made the statement while receiving Cambodian National Assembly Chairman Samdec Heng Samrin in Hanoi yesterday.

Trong expressed his hope that both countries’ national assemblies will continue to cooperate and exchange experiences in each other’s legislative, supervisory, and decision-making activities, while effectively implementing Agreements, Treaties, and Protocols signed between the two countries. Mr. Samrin briefed his host on the results of talks with the Vietnamese NA delegation. He said Cambodia will continue to cooperate closely with Vietnam in the implementation of agreements, treaties, and joint declarations signed by leaders of both countries. The Cambodia legislator is on an official six-day visit to Viet Nam at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart, Nguyen Sinh Hung.
