(VOVworld) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia’s Federal Assembly Naryshkin Sergey Evgenievich in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Trong said he believed parliamentary relations between Vietnam and Russia would continue to be consolidated. Both countries will continue to implement the 2013 inter-parliamentary cooperative agreement and accelerate the implementation of high-level and strategic agreements in the areas of energy, oil and gas, nuclear power, education, training, science-technology, national defense, and security. They pledged favorable conditions for Vietnamese and Russian citizens to work and live in the host countries, contributing significantly to the Vietnamese-Russian comprehensive strategic partnership.

Evgenievich said that strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with Vietnam continued to be a priority in Russia’s foreign policy. He wished the Vietnamese Party, state, and people new achievements in national development and improved status in the international arena.
