Party leader visits Aalto University, meets Vietnamese students

(VOVWORLD) -Party General Secretary To Lam on Wednesday paid a working visit to Aalto University, one of the leading universities in Finland and the region, and met with Vietnamese students studying in Finland.

The Party chief said the Party and State’s consistent policy of attaching special importance to education and training, in which students living and studying abroad play a crucial role, as a bridge to spread knowledge, culture, national traditions and absorb the quintessence of the world’s culture, science and technology to contribute to their home country.

“The Party and State of Vietnam are drafting or delivering customized mechanisms and policies to appeal talents. You are always welcomed and given the most favorable conditions to make contribution. Contribution is not just about returning, but also through cooperation with international partners across five continents. We especially encourage cooperation programs between Finnish universities, including Aalto University, and Vietnamese institutions,” Mr. Lam said. 

The General Secretary said he hopes that Vietnamese students will promote their role as a bridge of knowledge to further the relationship between Vietnam and Finland.
