(VOVworld) – To mark the 250^th birthday anniversary of World Cultural Figure, poet Nguyen Du, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, UNESCO Chief representative in Vietnam Katherine Muller Marin, and leaders of sectors and localities burnt incense at Nguyen Du’s tomb and memorial house in Tien Dien commune, Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province.

The leaders were introduced about his life and career. During the anniversary, a number of workshops on Nguyen Du’s life and career and his works especially “Truyen Kieu” (The Tale of Kieu) have been organized.
