People of Vietnam, France expand solidarity, friendship
(VOVworld) – The 6th national congress of the Vietnam-France Friendship and Cooperation Association opened on Sunday in Hanoi.

The congress defined its central task of strengthening and expanding the solidarity and friendship between the people of Vietnam and France. Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien was elected Chairwoman of the association and 48 members of executive committee were also elected for the 6th tenure. The participants agreed that the association needs to boost mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries and their localities in line with the Vietnam-France strategic partnership. The association also needs to win support from French people for Vietnam’s socio-economic, cultural development and territorial integrity.
