Plastic Waste Cleanup Day campaign launched in Ho Chi Minh city

(VOVWORLD) -The Plastic Waste Cleanup Day campaign was launched in Ho Chi Minh city on Saturday to raise the public awareness of and call for practical actions to jointly protect the environment.

Pham Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Council, told the launch ceremony that the campaign disseminates information on the hazardous effect of plastic waste and calls on people to reduce use of plastic and nylon products. Mr. Hai said he believes that the campaign will be a success due to the administration’s determination, the joint efforts of each citizen and business community, and the strong support from international diplomatic agencies and organizations.
