PM assures Tet goods supply in remote areas
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade has confirmed that there will be adequate supplies of essential goods and price stabilization ahead of Tet, the Lunar New Year Festival.

At a cabinet meeting in Hanoi on Monday to review preparations for Tet, the Ministry said that Tet goods have been distributed to remote, mountainous, and island areas while the fight against smuggling and trade fraud has been intensified. The Ministry of labor, Invalids and Social Affairs reported that policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged people have received support allowing them to enjoy a happy Tet.
“A sufficient supply of goods must be ensured in remote areas while security and social order must be maintained, particularly in rural regions. Authorities should keep a close watch on post-Tet festivals,” said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, who chaired the meeting.
The 2020 Tet will begin on Saturday and end next Wednesday.
