PM calls on Vietnamese, Chinese firms to enhance partnerships

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended a Vietnam-China business seminar in Chongqing city, China, on Friday, saying economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries have not been commensurate with their good relations, and there are still great opportunities and potentials for bilateral cooperation.

He called on enterprises of both nations to strengthen investment and business cooperation and concretise the agreements reached by leaders of the two Parties and states for the prosperity and happiness of both nations.

Mr. Chinh said the smart customs system has simplified customs procedures and the two countries have created policies to improve logistics infrastructure, provide financial support, foster technical cooperation, and develop emerging industries like the digital economy, the green economy, and the circular economy, and traceability for products, packaging, and product design.

At the event, seven memoranda of understanding were signed between Vietnamese and Chinese companies in railways, battery storage production, and the development of the energy support industry.
