At a meeting in Hanoi on Wednesday Phuc said the government is setting high export revenue targets for key products such as rice, shrimp, pharmaceutical products, and vegetables. Mr. Phuc said: “Upholding the motto of a government of integrity, drastic action, and serving people, Trade Offices should also serve national and business development. Specific actions should be taken to realize the motto of integrity, honesty, action, innovation, and efficiency.”

The Prime Minister asked Trade Counsellors to proactively assist domestic businesses by providing them information about foreign markets, promoting trade and investment activities, and increasing sales of Vietnamese products abroad. “We not only have a domestic market of 100 million people, but the ASEAN market of 630 million people and free trade markets with 55 economies.  We should further explore our strength because in Southeast Asia, Vietnam has signed the most free trade agreements.”
