At a Hanoi meeting on Thursday with a delegation representing people with meritorious services from Nam Dinh province, PM Chinh emphasized Vietnam went through a long struggle for independence and sovereignty. Many people laid down their lives for the Fatherland and those who returned have not been healthy and still suffered the consequences of war.

The Prime Minister said that with the Party and State’s care and attention, the lives of people with meritorious services and their families have been improved.

The movement "All people take care of the families of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution" and the funds "Paying the debt of gratitude" and "Comrades in arms’ friendship" have been enthusiastically responded by people from all walks of life.
