(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc talked on the phone with US President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday.

He congratulated Trump on his election as the 45th US President and said Vietnam values friendship and cooperation with the US.

The US President-elect applauded Vietnam’s achievements over the past few years and improvements in the bilateral ties, which he expects to develop.

The two leaders discussed ways to accelerate economic, trade, and investment relations between Vietnam and the US.
