Receiving Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Richard Marles in Hanoi on Friday, PM Chinh suggested that the two sides continue the existing cooperation in line with their signed agreements.

Welcoming Marles’ visit to Vietnam, the PM said he is pleased with flourishing Vietnam-Australia Strategic Partnership, especially trade and investment cooperation.

The Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister said he is impressed by the outstanding development of Vietnam, especially compared to 30 years ago when he came to Vietnam.

He expected that in 2023, when Vietnam and Australia celebrate 50 years of relations, the two countries will upgrade their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
