(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed in Hanoi on Thursday on the sidelines of the 4th Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit.

The PM praised the positive relationship between Vietnam and the UN, as well as the operations of UN agencies in the country.
He called on the UN to continue supporting Vietnam in science and technology development, innovation, just energy transition, green economy, and in accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The UN deputy chief hailed Vietnam's leading role in the green transition, demonstrated by the successful organization of the P4G Summit. She expressed her admiration for Vietnam’s rapid development and active participation in UN forums and peacekeeping missions.
The same day, PM Chinh received Global Green Growth Institute Director-General Sang-Hyup Kim, and Secretary-General of the UN Conference on Trade and Development Rebeca Grynspan. He said Vietnam is ready to host the 16th UNCTAD session.
