PM receives outgoing Japanese Ambassador

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked outgoing Japanese Ambassador Yamada Takio for his efforts to promote the multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.

At a reception in Hanoi on Thursday, Mr. Chinh asked that Mr. Yamada, no matter what position he holds in the future, continue to contribute to Vietnam-Japan relations in all fields, especially economics, green transformation, digital transformation, high technology, innovation, and semiconductors. He called for more labor cooperation, human resource training, people-to-people exchanges, and tourism development between the two countries.

Prime Minister Chinh reiterated Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's invitation to the Emperor and Empress of Japan to visit Vietnam.

Ambassador Yamada said he hopes that Vietnam will continue to work with Japan to push projects in digital transformation, green transformation, energy conversion, renewable energy, biomass power, and emission reduction.
