Receiving Alok Sharma, British Cabinet Minister and President of the 26th UN Climate Conference (COP26), in Hanoi on Friday, the Prime Minister suggested the British Government facilitate the supply of COVID-19 vaccines and consider facilitating the transfer of vaccine production technology.

The President of COP26 presented a letter from British Prime Minister Boris Johnson inviting Prime Minister Chinh to the 26th UN Climate Conference hosted by the UK in November.

He emphasized that Vietnam is one of the important working partners of the British Government to prepare for COP26 and welcomed Vietnam's commitment and active participation in multilateral frameworks on climate change. He spoke highly of Vietnam's efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, saying that the UK will continue to support Vietnam in climate change response, including green energy development.
