PM suggests Egypt’s Arab language scholarships and Halal food expert training

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called for strengthened role and more efficient cooperation between Vietnam and Egypt Inter-governmental Committees towards 1 billion USD of bilateral trade revenue annually.

During a reception of Egyptian Ambassador to Vietnam Amal Abdel Kader Elmorsi Salama in Hanoi on Wednesday, the Prime Minister asked for a mechanism to exchange market information and seek opportunities in oil and gas, chemical, garment and agricultural cooperation ahead of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties next year.

He asked for continued Egyptian offering of Arab language training scholarships and expert training on Halal food standards for Vietnam, as well as support for the development of Vovinam, Vietnamese traditional martial arts in Africa.

He called for mutual support in multilateral forum as well as Egyptian support to Vietnam and the ASEAN view on settling disputes in the East Sea by peaceful means based on the international law. 

Ambassador Amal Salama pledged to promote bilateral cooperation and friendship and hoped for the Prime Minister’s participation at the COP 27 hosted by Egypt.
