PM underlines comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed the importance of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China at Wednesday meeting with Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee Shen Xiaoming, who is visiting Vietnam.

The Prime Minister said he wants the two sides to strengthen exchanges at all levels, promote cooperation in all fields, especially trade development in the direction of balance and expansion of investment cooperation, boost people-to-people exchanges and restore tourism cooperation.

Prime Minister Chinh suggested that China soon add Vietnam to the list of  pilot group outbound tours and jointly maintain peace and stability in the East Sea in accordance with international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

The Prime Minister called on Hainan province to promote exchanges and cooperation with Vietnamese ministries, sectors and localities, including Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh province, beef up mutually beneficial cooperation in tourism, transport connection, education, health care, cultural exchange, climate change response, search and rescue at sea, and humane treatment of fishermen, contributing to maintaining peace, stability and cooperation at sea.

On the same day, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son received Secretary of the Party Committee of Hainan province Shen Xiaoming.
