The conference, which was connected to 63 provinces and cities across the country, quoted a UN report in 2022 that Vietnam's online public services ranked 76th out of 193 countries, up 5 places from 2020 while its open data ranked 87th, up 10 places from 2020.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh outlined orientations for the near future, which include reducing compliance costs and time and creating the best conditions for the people and businesses to use online public services.
"Greater efforts should be made to streamline administrative procedures and accelerate legalization, digitization, and automation towards the four ‘nos’: no paperwork, no cash payments, no contact unless required by law, and no one is left behind,” he said.
PM Chinh underlined the need to further develop information technology infrastructure and promptly finalize a project to promote communication on the provision and use of online public services until 2025, with an orientation until 2030.
