PM Chinh said that despite many difficulties, Vietnam has managed to keep the overall situation under good control, with a stable macro-economy, ensured balances, and a trade surplus of 10 billion USD.

The political situation is stable, social order, safety, national defense, security, independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity have been maintained, and external activities have been comprehensive and effective, Chinh said.

He said the coming months will be difficult and complicated, because external events post a need to grasp the situation and learn from experience in order to fulfill tasks and targets set by the National Assembly.

The PM called for greater efforts to overcome the shortage of petroleum, medicines, and biological products, continue the vaccination program and improve people’s material and emotional well-being during the Lunar New Year.

Cabinet members assessed the socio-economic situation in November and during the first 11 months of the year, including the economic recovery and development program, the disbursement of public investment capital, and the results of the three national target programs.
