PM urges for breakthroughs in administrative reform

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged for stronger administrative reform to reach targets in the 5-year socio-economic development plan until 2025.

Speaking at the first session of the Government Steering Committee for Administrative Reform in Hanoi on Wednesday, the Prime Minister, who is also Head of the Committee, said administrative reform is part of Vietnam’s strategic layout.

Prime Minister Chinh said: '"Our aim is to create breakthroughs in administrative reform to mobilize all resources for national development. We need to improve the performance of ministries, agencies and local administrations. Investment in administrative reforms means investment in development. Administrative reform should aim at serving the public and businesses and improving management efficiency."

The Prime Minister asked for efficient implementation of the Master Plan on State Administrative Reform until 2030, simplification of administrative procedures, especially those which concern the public and businesses, and focus on the Program on Streamlining Business-Related Procedures in the 2020-20225 period.
