Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the 2023 Vietnam Industry 4.0 Summit’s plenary session on Wednesday in Hanoi, where he stressed the need to build the infrastructure system, especially the strategic infrastructure, to create a driving force for national industrialization and modernization.

The Prime Minister said that as the economy is developing dynamically, Vietnam is determined to strive towards the goal of building a powerful and prosperous country, becoming a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle income by 2030 and to become a developed, high-income country by 2045.

“The Party and State attach great importance to and consider digital transformation, green transition and sustainable development as key tasks in national industrialization and modernization and a new breakthrough method to shorten this  process."

"Vietnam has many favorable factors for accessing and benefiting from the fourth industrial revolution. Vietnam has the advantage of a young, inquisitive, dynamic and creative population structure; infrastructure for digital technology and digitization develops rapidly; mechanisms and policies are increasingly fine-tuned. These are opportunities for Vietnam to realize its aspirations for prosperity and happiness.”

Prime Minister Chinh insisted on his viewpoint that domestic resources are basic, strategic, long-term and decisive, external resources are important and breakthrough; domestic enterprises are the main driving force; and Foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises play an important role in national industrialization and modernization.
