PM urges greater efforts to bring Vietnam-RoK trade to 100 billion USD by 2025

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said the Vietnamese Government always listens to, supports, and provides the best possible conditions for foreign investors, particularly those from the Republic of Korea, to operate effectively and sustainably in Vietnam.

Mr. Chinh made the statement at a working breakfast in Seoul on Monday with leaders of several major Korean businesses in the fields of manufacturing, energy, finance, IT, health care, and pharmaceuticals.

He called on the Korean businesses to continue expanding their cooperation and investment activities in Vietnam and make full use of the Vietnam-RoK comprehensive strategic partnership to lift trade to 100 billion USD by 2025 and 150 billion USD by 2030.

Leaders of Korean firms like Hyundai Motors, GS Energy, Shinhan Bank, and POSCO International showed interest in continuing to invest in Vietnam in the fields of energy, aircraft engine manufacturing, shipbuilding, banking, and health care.
