Chairing an online conference on COVID-19 situation on Friday, the Prime Minister called for stronger measures as the coronavirus is rapidly spreading.

“I emphasize the strengthened leadership of Party Committees and the oversight of the administrations at all levels. People’s awareness and sense of compliance with regulations must be promoted. Medical conditions must be met when necessary. When there are many infection cases, it is necessary to quickly classify patients, focus on the treatment of seriously ill patients, and minimize mortality.”

The Prime Minister said that there should be no health crisis, no socio-economic crisis, and no communication crisis. Authorities at all levels make the most of their ability to restore production and business with the spirit of "Safety for production, production must be safe." Good production is also an isolation measure to ensure no disruption to the supply chain.

Mr. Chinh called for resilience to the current conditions as COVID-19 is the pandemic of the century, with no cure yet.

“Prevention is a basic, strategic measure together with vaccines, people's awareness and technology. This is a long-term battle, so we must prepare our minds, resources, and appropriate measures. We should not let our guard down at any time.”

At the conference, Prime Minister Chinh called for the sharing of vaccine for prioritized localities, like Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and provinces with many industrial parks. He urged for promoting vaccine strategy, vaccine diplomacy, and domestic production of vaccine against COVID-19.
