PM urges thorough preparations for DPRK-US summit
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met Foreign Ministry officials on Sunday to inspect preparations for the 2nd DPRK-US Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Hanoi on Wednesday and Thursday.

Mr. Phuc asked the Foreign Ministry to maintain its collaboration with ministries and agencies to secure information, meet the requirements of participants and international media, and show off Vietnam’s beauty and hospitality.
Prime Minister Phuc told the Government Office the same day that the 2nd Trump-Kim summit will be one of Vietnam’s top political and diplomatic events this year. He called on the Office and related organizations to improve their services and organize cultural and tourism activities to best promote Vietnam’s image.
Mr. Phuc also instructed the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to focus on promoting tourism, calling the Trump-Kim summit a great opportunity to show that Vietnam is a friendly, beautiful, and safe destination for tourists.
