The Prime Minister on Saturday visited people in Hien Ninh commune in Quang Binh province, which experienced the worst flooding in 70 years.
“Hien Ninh commune suffered great losses in property during the historic flooding. The Party and State including the military and police forces are doing their utmost to help the affected people. I hope you will continue to uphold unity and Quang Binh’s heroic tradition to overcome the aftermath of natural disasters,” said Mr. Phuc.
Working with central region leaders, Prime Minister Phuc praised the efforts made by authorities, agencies, the military and police in protecting people’s lives and assets.
“There are several things we must do immediately including environmental sanitation and disease prevention. No one should be left hunger and homeless. Students should soon go back to school while donations from philanthropists must be handled in an equal and transparent manner with the Fatherland Front and the Red Cross playing a key role,” said Prime Minister Phuc.
