The Prime Minister on Friday, the last day of the Year of the Cat, visited the Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television, and Vietnam News Agency.

Reporting to the Prime Minister, VOV President Do Tien Sy said that in 2023, VOV, which functions as the country's main press agency, closely followed Party's directions and the Government's management, and accomplished the tasks of disseminating accurate and timely information, contributing to orienting public opinion and creating social consensus.

VOV refuted acts that violate the law, distort information, and infringe upon the interests of the State, the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and citizens. VOV kept the public well informed, published in-depth commentary on international issues and reported on public concerns.

VOV gave wide coverage of senior leaders of Vietnam and other countries, especially State visits to Vietnam by US President Joe Biden and Party General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping. Other political events were reported in a timely and comprehensive manner, strengthening the trust of officials, party members and people in the leadership of the Party and State, Mr. Sy said.
