At a campaign launched on Tuesday in Hanoi to call for public support, PM Phuc said Vietnam is well controlling community transmission, tightening prevention measures, and strengthening quarantine and treatment of confirmed and suspected cases while boosting communication work.

“I call on people and soldiers nationwide to bring into play our achievements so far and continue to take more resolute measures to contain the pandemic. To this end, we need stronger support of the entire political system, ministries, sectors and people of all social strata and particularly the public’s compliance with regulations of the health sector and local administrations," he said.

"Each person is a soldier in the war against Covid-19. Each commune and village, even each family is a fortress against the pandemic,” the PM stressed.

30 organizations and individuals donated 9.7 million USD to the campaign which is scheduled to last until the end of next month.

Vietnam has confirmed 66 infected cases. 16 of them have been discharged from hospital.
