Pompeo says sanctions will help achieve North Korea denuclearization
(VOVWORLD) - US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo expressed confidence Monday that continued sanctions will help achieve North Korea's denuclearization.

Mr. Pompeo made the remarks during a talk hosted by US news outlet The Hill, indicating that Washington has no intention to ease pressure on Pyongyang until it dismantles its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs.
Earlier, North Korea said it no longer wanted to deal with Pompeo and that he should be replaced in any future talks.
Mr. Pompeo said Washington will maintain diplomatic efforts toward denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.
