Poor students are encouraged to keep studying

(VOVworld) – Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan presented 40 scholarships, each worth 520 USD per year, and savings books to outstanding disadvantaged students at a special program held Sunday in Hanoi. The program, entitled “Inspiring dreams for further study”, was an opportunity for the unfortunate and disabled to share their experience and strong will to overcome difficulties and achieve outstanding academic results. The event organizers have given scholarships, wheelchairs, health insurance cards, school supplies, cash, and even free cleft palate and heart surgeries to disadvantaged students nationwide.
