(VOVworld)- Pope Francis censured the culprits of recent terrorist attacks, remembered the victims, and appealed to the international community to stop violence in his Easter speech on Sunday.

He emphasized the large number of innocent people killed and injured in the attacks in Belgium, Turkey, Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Cote d’Ivore, expressed his hope for lasting peace in Palestine, Ukraine, Libya, Yemen and Iraq, and simultaneously urged an immediate solution to the war in Syria. Pope Francis also called for global support for war refugees. Europe is now struggling with the most serious refugee crisis since World War II.
