(VOVworld) - Egypt’s newly-appointed ambassador to Israel has arrived on Sunday. Atef Sayed Al-Ahl is an experience diplomat, who served in the past at the Egyptian consulate in the southern Red Sea resort city of Eilat. Al-Ahl replaces will replace outgoing ambassador Yasser Rida, who concluded his four-year term. His appointment is considered a positive sign in the two countries’ relation. It has removed concern that the relation with Cairo will be degraded following the appearance of the Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood. Egyptian Former Ambassador to Israel Eli Shaked said the decision shows that the new Egyptian nation respects its relation with Israel.
