(VOVworld) – After the second consultative meeting Vietnam’s 63 provinces and cities have announced a preliminary list of more than 1,000 candidates for National Assembly and People’s Council elections for the 2016-2021 term.

Hanoi has 48 self-nominees and HCM city has 73 self-nominees. Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Van Pha said the increase in the number of self-nominees against the last tenure will give Fatherland Fronts at all levels more choices to introduce candidates for the elections. The 3^rd consultative meeting will be held from April 13 to 17.
