(VOVWORLD) - Preparations are in full swing for the largest-ever exhibition showcasing Vietnam’s achievements over the past 80 years.
The exhibition, titled “80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness”, will be held at the Vietnam Exposition Center in Hanoi from August 28 to September 2 to mark National Day.
Workers are racing against time to complete the setup for the grand opening next Thursday.
“I have been here since early this month, often working overtime until 11 p.m. with the spirit of finishing everything on time. Hopefully today we can wrap it up. I’m so proud to make even a small contribution to celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s founding,” said worker Le Van Thinh.

The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) will present a nearly 500-square-meter display featuring valuable artifacts and a free virtual reality program, “Back to the Sacred Moment”, allowing visitors to relive the historic day of September 2, 1945.
“With the 360-degree virtual reality experience, visitors will feel as if they were meeting President Ho Chi Minh at Ba Dinh Square in 1945. They will be immersed in that historic atmosphere, hear his words, and see our compatriots during that profoundly significant moment in history,” said VOV President Do Tien Sy.
The national exhibition will gather ministries, sectors, 34 provinces and cities, enterprises, strategic partners, and diplomatic missions.
