President Tran Dai Quang addresses the talk

At a talk themed “The 4th industrial revolution- development opportunities and non-traditional security challenges” held at the university the same day, President Quang said Vietnam is accelerating national industrialization and modernization, so the world’s 4th industrial revolution will have a strong impact on Vietnam bringing both opportunities and challenges. He said: “Vietnam has great potential for development. We are in the period of a golden population. Our challenge is how to optimize the positive influences of the 4th industrial revolution. If we can take advantage of opportunities and overcome challenges, can we narrow development gaps with advanced countries and soon realize the goal of becoming a modern-oriented industrial country”.

President Quang said Vietnam is among the countries with the fastest Internet development speed in the world, so it’s necessary to ensure the safety and security of the national information network, and prevent and combat cyber crime. He asked the Ho Chi Minh City National University to be creative in teaching, studying, and researching the ideas, guidelines, plans and policies of the Party and State on education and training.
