In a letter to Democratic Party lawmakers, Biden, 81, said he is “firmly committed to staying in this race, to running this race to the end, and to beating Donald Trump”.
President Biden has repeatedly said he will continue to represent the Democratic Party in the 2024 US Presidential election scheduled to take place in early November. In a 22-minute interview with ABC News host George Stephanopoulos last week, Biden said he will participate in another debate with Mr. Trump and win.
An Ipsos Poll showed that voter support for President Biden unexpectedly increased last week, a sign that the upcoming election will still be fierce, despite Biden’s poor debate showing.
