President Phuc and a National Assembly delegation of Ho Chi Minh City met online with voters working in the city's health sector.

He said “On behalf of the Party and State leaders, I would like to send my condolences to the people and voters of Ho Chi Minh City about the tremendous sufferings and losses in the recent pandemic with more than 15,000 deaths. I expressed my deep sympathy with frontline forces, especially the doctors and health workers who have braved hardship and cared for patients day and night. Many medical staff have sacrificed and devoted themselves to their work, moving people's hearts and being honored by the society. We highly appreciate the tireless efforts of the medical staff across the country, including those of Ho Chi Minh City.”

President Phuc said that although Ho Chi Minh City has passed the peak of the pandemic, we should not let our guard down. In the city, 20,000 COVID-19 patients are being treated, more than 22,000 patients are isolated at home, more than 15,000 people died, and thousands of children are orphaned by the pandemic.
