President Joe Biden hails “new era” in US-ASEAN ties
(VOVWORLD) - President Joe Biden said the first US-ASEAN special summit launches a “new era” in the US relations with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
Earlier, US Vice President Kamala Harris said that the United States and ASEAN have shared a vision for this region, saying that “together we will guard against threats to international rules and norms".
She shared the ASEAN’s common vision of the maritime rules-based order, which includes freedom of navigation and international law.
