President offers incense to commemorate Hung Kings

(VOVWORLD) -President Luong Cuong on Monday commemorated the Hung Kings in an incense offering ceremony at Kinh Thien Palace on the top of Nghia Linh mountain of the Hung Temple National Historical Site.

The event was held by the Party Committee, administration and people of Phu Tho province, which is considered the ancestral land, on behalf of compatriots and soldiers nationwide and overseas Vietnamese.

The President and other Party, State and local leaders entered the Kinh Thien Palace, burned incense, and laid flowers and offerings in memory and gratitude to the Hung Kings who founded the country and ancestors who defended the country. The delegation reported to ancestors the great achievements Vietnam has made in the past year on its path of development.

Afterwards, President Cuong and the delegation laid wreaths and burned incense at the Hung Kings' Mausoleum and paid flower tribute at the relief of President Ho Chi Minh talking to officers and soldiers of the Vanguard Army at the Gieng Temple Five-Way Intersection.

The Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the Cultural-Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land with exciting activities are underway at the Hung Temple historical relic site, Viet Tri city as well as districts and towns in Phu Tho province. Tens of thousands of people from all over the country and overseas Vietnamese have flocked to Phu Tho to offer incense in memory of the Hung Kings.
