(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang received a delegation of the Keidanren Japan-Vietnam Economic Cooperation Committee of the Japan Federation of Economic Organizations in Hanoi on Tuesday.

The delegation, led by Kyohei Takashi Hashi and Kuniharu Nakamura, will review phase 5 of the Japan-Vietnam Joint Initiative on investment cooperation, which was formulated in 2003. The guests expressed their hope that Vietnam will continue to create favorable conditions for Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises to seek investment opportunities in Vietnam. President Sang said that Vietnam is fine-tuning its legal system to attract more foreign investors, including those from Japan.

Of Vietnam’s agreement to establish a Vietnam-Japan University in Hanoi, he said this will boost educational cooperation between the two countries. This, he added, will be a pre-condition for improving the quality of Vietnam’s vocational training to serve national construction and development.
