(VOVworld) – On Wednesday in Hanoi, President Tran Dai Quang received visiting Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn.

He said Vietnam and Cambodia are two close neighbours and members of ASEAN, who have the tradition of unity and mutual assistance. President Quang said he believes that the Cambodian minister with his experience will make positive contributions to consolidating the bilateral ties. He praised the outcomes of the talks between the two foreign ministers and called for their close cooperation to foster the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Cambodia.

During Wednesday’s reception for Argentinean Ambassador to Vietnam Claudio Ricardo Gutierrez, President Tran Dai Quang congratulated the ambassador for completing his term in Vietnam and praised his contributions to furthering bilateral ties. He expressed his wish that both sides will continue boosting economic and trade cooperation to match each country’s potential.

Receiving outgoing Myanmar Ambassador Win Hlaing, President Quang hailed the flourishing diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Myanmar. He said he hopes that the two countries will continue the exchanges of visits in the context of Vietnam and Cambodia having new leaders.
