Egyptian online newspaper Youm Sabaa said President
Rivlin was escorted by business representatives and military officials. High on
his agenda is boosting economic, security, and military cooperation between
Vietnam and Israel. The Voice of Israel reported yesterday/ on Tuesday that
during a talk with President Tran Dai Quang, President Rivlin confirmed Israel’s
desire for a free trade agreement with Vietnam. President Tran Dai Quang said the
Israeli President’s visit to Vietnam will strengthen ties, especially in the
fields of economy and science-technology.
The Jerusalem Post reported that Rivlin attended bilateral
economic conference, visited an exhibition of Vietnamese defense equipment, and
witnessed a signing ceremony of the TH Group and two Israeli companies,
Staromedic and Medicdan. In the course of his various meetings, Rivlin discussed
future scientific research cooperation between Israeli and Vietnamese
institutes.
