Speaking at a ceremony to mark the 60th Traditional Day of VCCI, April 27, President Thuong underlined what needs to be done to achieve the goal that by 2045 Vietnam will become a developed and high-income country.

“Building a strong business team in terms of quantity, quality, knowledge and qualifications, sense of citizenship, social responsibility, strong national spirit, willpower, and ability to integrate is the concern and priority of the Party and State. The right of ownership and freedom to conduct a business must be ensured according to the law. All barriers and prejudices must be removed, and all favorable conditions must be created for the development of the private economy in both quantity and quality. Efforts should be made to encourage the formation and development of large private economic groups with regional and global competitiveness."

"Vietnam strives to have at least 2 million enterprises by 2030 with the proportion of the private sector's contribution to GDP reaching between 60 and 65%,” he said.

The President required entrepreneurs to comply with the law, always put the interests of businesses and individuals in association with the interests of the country and the community.
